Montepulciano, Italy:
If I were to have 2 glasses of red every day with my evening meal, this little lot should last for three centuries, but with the sort of friends I have, I’d give it three weeks!

The object of this site is very simple. As I write this, it is the year 2017 and I have recently exceeded my allotted three score years and ten. I am now officially on overtime! As I tentatively dip my toes into the uncharted waters of retirement, I want to try to keep the brain from seizing solid by giving it something to work on other than endless Sudoku!
I have elected to teach myself to put together a WordPress website, using as a basis some of the many and varied travel experiences we have had over the years – with quite a few more in the pipeline I hope! Right now they will appear in a relatively random order (as I remember them, or as I come across a trigger that twitches the memory banks). At some stage I hope to put them in some semblance of chronological order – but let’s get some meat on the bones before worrying too much about that!
If I can piece together something that manages to interest and entertain anyone who stumbles across it, I will count it as an achievement, and time wasted profitably!
At the top of this page you should see a list of places and dates – there’s an element of Pot Luck at the moment as they may simply be just titles that are waiting to have some content added, whilst others may have some prose and/or pictures – click away!
